Allergies to rabbits
Sometimes people who suffer allergies when they get a rabbit are not allergic to the rabbit but rather the hay. There are a few different ways to cut down on hay allergies.
- If buying from a farmer buy second cuttings
- Mist hay with a water bottle
If you are actually allergic to the rabbit (similar to being allergic to cats)
- Limit the rooms they can get into
- Buy an air filtration unit
- Clean the immediate area often
- Seek medical assistance
