Urinary incontinence

Urinary incontinence is a condition when a rabbit is unable to control their urination, which is usually observed as accidental urine leakage and urine scald.

Symptoms

• Urine scald
• Dribbling small amounts of urine when picked up or in atypical areas outside of the litter box.

Causes

• Damage to the nerves that control bladder function
• Arthritis
• Bladder stones
• Encephalitozoon cuniculi
• Renal disease
• Spinal injuries
