International export regulations for pet rabbits

Similar to importing rabbits, many countries may have strict rules about exporting them out.
China
Under PRC regulations, only cats and dogs are considered pets for export.[1] Rabbits technically cannot be exported out of China.
However, there are a few accounts of individuals being successful:
- one owner used Pet Movers HK successfully to move their rabbit from China to California in 2013.
- u/lucieliuxx. (2024). Flew from Shanghai to San Francisco with a 5-hour layover in Tokyo with the rabbit in forward cargo.
