Death usually occurs in 2 to 4 days. Rabbits usually survive the protracted course of 7 to 14 days.[2]
Causes
- Sudden dietary changes.

Rabbits affected with mucoid enteropathy are typically between 7 and 10 weeks of age, but adults can be affected.[3]
